Our Business

As strange as it seems, I began painting because I needed a painting to go over my dog's favorite chair.  I decided to paint a painting of Buddy in his chair, with a painting of Buddy in his chair in the painting.  I e-mailed it to a few friends, and my business was born!

We need only glance at a painting by Georgia folk artist Janie Wilkins to be drawn into it. The artist uses her love for animals and her lighthearted sense of humor to show our beloved pets at their very best in her folk art paintings. She makes us feel like we are sitting in our favorite chair snuggled up with our little sweethearts. What is truly amazing is that this is an innate talent having only taken one art class in college - we won’t say when! Something has led her back to the paint brush and we are the lucky ones to receive a pet painting so lovingly and beautiful done.

The listed items are by a new and unknown Georgia folk artist living in the Atlanta area.  She has just started producing some of the most caring and bold acrylics.  Most involve her pups that she loves so much.  Her "folksy" drawings will endear her to all who are interested in her works and pets......and want to get in on the ground floor of her popularity.

These are done on 16X20X1 stretched canvas.  They are very bright, bold and lighthearted......which is the way of all of our pets.
